events: 12-14.07.2002 "Several days and nights drinking in Drama's amazing 'Aiyaio' bar could never have prepared us for the onslaught of crushing tribal techno we witnessed at Psava Faam. Day1 : Anesti spends all afternoon ordering diggers and workmen about -putting up two video screens either side of the stage, we set up the gear on a central mini-stage, right in front of the main stage. The location is fantastic -on both sides, and behind the stage, mountains slope away and to the right is the river Nestos. Ten O'Clock turns up and the techno turns on! From 10pm-9am we hammer the Greek landscape (and 1,500 ravers!) with deep and hard techno and strobing imagery... Bliss. We work with a VCR, PHLUMIX v5.0 and the live cam, plus some extra onsite footage of the audience and jugglers. Day2 : Ozric Tentacles are unable to play. Torrential rain showers have also damaged some of the speaker amps -delaying the evening, so Psicon Lab get a night off to enjoy another 13 straight hours of pummeling techno under the moon. Fire breathers, jugglers and stiltwalkers make an appearance too! Day3
: We set up on the main stage and play a blinder(!), mixing up psycho-devilish
whirling tunnels, screaming people and phasing static. We finish early
at 6am and leave the stragglers to it." :
