events: 16.09.2002 "After hooking up with Craig, we grab a few beers, some samosa's & sushi and munch our way to the photographic studio where Phlumx is up and running. People gather and we kick off with some cool vibes and rather samey graphics. Phlumx has been running well until now and it throws a tantrum, refusing to affect anything from Channel 2. I revert back to an earlier version in an attempt to solve the problem. Craig's wicked vibes are creating a buzz as I stuggle onward trying to keep Phlumx under control. Several restrarts later, and the bloody thing is still dying on it's feet ; even after two days of simplifying and debugging. Soldier on - we do, and despite my problems, Phlumx seems to be getting reasonable attention and interest. I keep it simple - running through some video-scratched dance footage and zombie film clips. I
spent the rest of the night moaning about my holey programming and
eventually get so drunk I don't care, have a great time drinking in
a French restaurant (the rest of Birmingham's bars are shut down due
to the Brum Vs. Aston Villa match!) and
ended up in a gay bar... hmmm... Bizarre." :
